There is nowhere in a van for them to dry

A van holds a fraction of the air of your bathroom at home, and almost none of it moves. So the towel goes over the door, then a chair, then the shower screen – and the water in it has to go somewhere: onto the windows, the hatches and eventually the mattress.

The fix is a towel that lets go of its water fast. Newlyfe’s waffle-weave dries 2–3x faster than cotton. Hang it where the air moves – the awning arm, the ladder rail or the annexe line – and it’s ready by the next shower. The questions people actually ask

They look thin. Will they actually dry me?

Yes. They’re thin on purpose. Cotton traps water in its loops. Our waffle weave spreads it out, so it dries you, then dries itself 2–3× faster than cotton.

Are they thick like hotel towels?

No. They’re thin on purpose. That’s what lets them dry fast and pack small.

Which set should I get?

Two of you: His and Hers. A couple or small family: the 4-Pack. A bigger family, or a spare set for the van: the 6-Pack.

How much space do they save?

Each towel folds to about half the size of a cotton towel.

Will they feel scratchy?

No. This isn’t the thin, squeaky microfibre people might be used to. Our bath towels are a premium waffle-weave microfibre, slightly thicker, soft and smooth on the skin. They feel different from fluffy cotton at first, and most people are used to them within a few uses. As Rodney from Brisbane put it, they “get softer every wash.”

They’re also OEKO-TEX Standard 100, Product Class I certified, which is the strictest class, used for baby articles, so they’re tested to the same standard as baby products.

Will they go musty?

Far less likely. They dry 2–3× faster than cotton, so they don’t sit damp and go sour. Just make sure it’s fully dry before you pack it away.

How do I wash them?

Wash before first use, cold (up to 30°C). No fabric softener, no dryer, no bleach. Line dry.
